14th Annual ‘Feed A Friend’ celebrated a different way this year!

Miami, FL (November 18, 2021) ——— Since 2007, Gloria and Emilio Estefan have celebrated  Thanksgiving by hosting ‘Feed A Friend’, an event that brings food and smiles to those that need it  most in our community.  In partnership with generous sponsors, The Gloria Estefan Foundation invites local charities to come out and enjoy delicious food and entertainment served up by the Estefan family and wonderful, great-hearted celebrities. In 2020, due to the pandemic the 
traditional event could not be hosted safely but that did not stop the Estefans and partnering sponsors to continue to give to those in need and, in the true spirit of Thanksgiving, The Gloria Estefan Foundation along with Iris & Michael Smith and the Florida Blue Foundation kept the tradition alive by making donations to 6 local organizations on ‘Give Miami Day’ last year and will do so again this year, Thursday, November 18th 2021.  We hope that these funds will help bring some holiday cheer to the families and we look forward to resuming our annual Thanksgiving Day Feed A Friend in 2022.

I’m pleased to announce that The Gloria Estefan Foundation, along with our incredible co- sponsors, Iris & Michael Smith and  the Florida Blue Foundation will make gifts on ‘Give Miami Day’ that will benefit the philanthropic work of ‘Amigos 
For Kids’, ‘Chapman Partnership for the Homeless’, ’Here’s Help’, ‘His House Children’s Home’, ‘Hispanic Unity of Florida’ and ‘SOS Children’s Villages of South Florida’ in the hopes of bringing joy and love to those that need it most in our community.”

The Gloria Estefan Foundation Founded  in  1997,  the  Gloria  Estefan  foundation  promotes  education,  health  and cultural  development.  The  organization  funds  itself  through  proceeds  from  several  of Gloria's

Amigos For Kids
Amigos For Kids was founded in 1991 to aid South Florida’s most valuable resource, its children. The organization aims to increase awareness of its mission of strengthening families and education communities in the prevention of child abuse and neglect. Amigos for Kids actualizes its purpose every day via key program components, including Education, Awareness, and Advocacy. The Education framework includes an After-School Program and its evidence-based Nurturing Parents Program. The After-School Program at Jose Marti Park serves children 6-11 daily. The educational parenting workshops serve countless families throughout the region. Since its inception, Amigos For Kids has 
organized one of the city’s largest and most meaningful holiday toy drives. The effort, reaching thousands of children over the years, makes their specific holiday wishes come true.
