Felipe Pinzon

President/CEO

Felipe Pinzon is President & CEO of Hispanic Unity of Florida (HUF). He has been with HUF since 2002 and has spent over 25 years working with social service and educational organizations, including 18 years managing multiple programs and funding sources. He has a master’s degree in Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Additionally, Felipe is a graduate of the American Express Nonprofit Leadership Academy. 

Felipe has served on the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Advisory Committee on Economic Security, Florida Prosperity Partnership Board of Directors and Sheridan Technical Center School Advisory Board. He also serves on the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance Board of Directors, the United Way of Broward County Public Policy Committee and is a Co-Chair of the Six Pillars Social Justice and Racial Equity

In 2009, he was awarded the Distinguished Service/Outstanding Young Non-Profit Executive Meeting Award from the Jaycees Hollywood Junior Chamber. Most recently he received the 2017 Hispanicize Positive Impact Award.

He is also a faculty member at Ana G. Mendez University System.

Felipe is married and father of three children; he spends his free time with family, playing tennis, running and riding his motorcycle.

Hispanic Unity of Florida (HUF) is a non-profit founded in 1982 by community leaders to ease the acculturation transition for newcomers from other nations. Today, HUF provides assistance through 12 programs and 30+ services in four languages to South Florida's diverse community. HUF, an UnidosUS Affiliate, is one of South Florida’s largest agencies dedicated to the immigrant population, providing them with the tools they need to build a new life. Since its inception, HUF has served nearly 500,000 people.
